Urock Network

U-Rock Network is an independent internet radio network broadcasting from Linwood, Pennsylvania, on the air since December 1999. Founded and run by John Kevin Timothy, it has grown into a network of 25 affiliate stations with local signals in Philadelphia, Allentown, Wilmington, Atlantic City, St. Louis, Chicago and Albuquerque, plus affiliates in the UK, Canada, Mexico, Australia and Japan. The network's motto says it all: rockin' the unheard with the underexposed.

The format is independent rock in all its shades - blues, rock, alternative, prog and indie. Every station is run by local people the playlists are picked by hand, not by an algorithm. Alongside the radio stations the network runs a record label, a weekly online zine and a video channel, so a track that connects can find more than one audience.

Approved artists get rotation airplay on the station or affiliate where their music fits best. Local airplay is the entry point - tracks that earn listener response can move on to additional affiliates, national rotation, features, editorial coverage, interviews and promotion on U-Rock's social channels. Submit your music and give it a home on real independent radio.
