How does MusicSubmit submit my music?

MusicSubmit offers two ways to connect you to radio stations, Spotify curators, blogs and other music outlets. You upload your music, we submit it for you. You get real feedback from real people via email. Outlets that approve your song will play it, playlist it, interview you or share your music with their audience.

You can get our Submission Packages, volume varies from 40 to 200+ submissions. We genre match you music with the outlets in our network submit it to them. You get real feedback from the people at those outlets you picked, all via email.

You can also get Direct Submissions where you submit to individual outlets. Select from our hand picked directory of reviewers and we will send your music directly to them. Each reviewer will listen to your music. You get real feedback from real people via email.

The submission packages give you more reach, direct submissions give you more control.

Who are the reviewers in the directory?

All reviewers are verified music industry professionals — including bloggers, playlist curators, radio stations, music journalists, and a few labels. They are hand picked from our vast network of resources. This ensures you submit to the most active reviewers with the best response rates.

What are Direct Submissions?

Direct music submission means sending your track straight to the individual music reviewer you pick — a radio station, music blog, Spotify playlist curator, or music influencer — instead of going through an algorithm. You choose the reviewer based on genre and audience fit; their response comes back to you directly. On MusicSubmit, direct submissions are $1.50 per reviewer, minimum 6 per order.

We also offer package deals where we genre-match your music with outlets from our network. It gives you more reach while direct submissions give you more control. See pricing.

What happens if a reviewer doesn't respond to my submission?

We will refund that submission. Here's how it works: reviewers listed are handpicked and known to be active on the platform. If a reviewer fails to respond within 30 days, contact us. We will get in touch with them. If they still do not react we will issue the refund.

Can I submit unreleased music or demos?

Absolutely. You can submit unreleased tracks, demos, and pre-release singles. Many radio programmers, playlist curators, and music bloggers actively look for early material they can feature around release. Reviewers will be in touch before sharing your music so you can discuss timing etc.

How do I submit my music to radio stations?

We've been helping indie artists get radio airplay since 2004. This directory lists the most responsive college, community, internet, and FM radio stations from our network. Filter by genre (rock, indie, jazz, urban, etc.), pick the stations and DJs that fit your sound, and submit your track for $1.50 each.

If you want to reach a broader range of radio stations check out our Best Shot Package Deals.

How do I submit my music to music blogs?

Browse the directory for music blogs who cover independent artists in your genre. Pick the ones that feel like a fit, add them to cart, and submit for $1.50 per blog. They'll respond with feedback or a feature decision — no PR retainer, no middleman.

How do I submit my music to Spotify playlist curators?

In our directory you'll find some Spotify playlist curators in your genre. Add the ones whose playlists match your sound to your cart. Submit for $1.50 per curator. Each curator listens and decides whether to add your song — there's no algorithm and no paid placement, just a real person making a call. This is one of the most transparent ways for independent artists to pitch Spotify playlists.

How is MusicSubmit different from other music submission platforms?

Direct Submissions on MusicSubmit are $1.50 per reviewer — pay-per-submission, no credit bundles, no subscriptions, no required deposit. Just a simple 6-reviewer cart minimum. You pick every reviewer yourself from a vetted directory of active radio stations, music blogs, Spotify playlist curators, and influencers. We've been connecting independent artists with music reviewers since 2004, which is longer than most services in the space.
